USC Cinematic Arts

Amanda Tasse directs science-inspired transmedia narrative projects spanning live-action, animation, interactive, and visualization. Her films have won awards such as a Student Academy Award Gold Medal (2012), an HBO Films Student Competition Award (2011), and numerous best in fests. She has screened internationally at festivals such as Palm Springs International Shorts Fest, Cinema St. Louis, and the Melbourne International Film Festival, and been granted two Sloan Science Film Grant Awards. Amanda received her MFA in Animation from USC and is now pursuing a PhD in Media Arts & Practice at USC.
