Jonathan B. Behr first came in contact with world building, working as a production designer for create-dystopia.org, an ambitious cyberpunk film project. “Dystopia” developed the idea of user-generated cinema, by including an international online-community in the process of writing and designing the world of the film. Subsequently he was invited as speaker at the International Scenography Biennial, presenting “Dystopia” as best student project.

Since then Jonathan directed and designed several short films, often set in a fantastical genre worlds, or dealing with Germany’s historical topics and social issues. In 2015 he made his debut as theatre director at the Theaterhaus Stuttgart, enacting “Feuersee Zero Hour” as a multi-media play, combining historic documentary footage, re-staged film scenes and theatre. Jonathan is currently pursuing an MA in Electronic and Audiovisual Media at the Stuttgart Media University, specializing in directing and dramaturgy.
