Adrian Melendez  holds a B.A. in Law and a Master's Degree in Political Science from the Jean Moulin University in Lyon, France. He possesses extensive experience with different international relief agencies. He has been posted in Islamabad, the Swat Valley of Pakistan, the province of Helmand and Kabul in Afghanistan. In 2013, he joined the response to the Syrian crisis in southern Lebanon and later in the Syrian refugee camps of the Kurdistan in Iraq. Prior he worked for over two years for the International Organization for Migrations in Geneva, Switzerland. In 2014, Adrian returned to Mexico to launch the Habesha Project, a humanitarian initiative to provide higher education to Syrian refugees in Mexican universities.
