USC Cinematic Arts

Biayna Bogosian is an architect and a computational designer interested in environmental data-driven procedural design. Biayna is pursuing a PhD in Media Arts + Practice in the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California. She holds a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Woodbury University.

Biayna is a founding partner of Los Angeles based studio Somewhere Something that works at the intersection of art, architecture, computation, fabrication and education. The research sees human activity and behavior as an integrated part of the design process realized by advanced fabrication techniques.

Since 2011, Biayna has taught digital media seminars and architectural design studios at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture Planning and Preservation, USC School of Architecture, Woodbury School of Architecture, and Tongji University College of Architecture and Urban Planning. She has also lead design workshops in Hungary, Armenia, Spain and China. Biayna’s work has been exhibited and published extensively in various international periodicals and newsletters.
