Dave Levin is an expert in technology for development and social entrepreneurship, with 14 years of experience developing social impact initiatives in the Middle East, Latin America, Africa, India​ ​and Southeast Asia. He has worked with startup social enterprises, a major impact investment fund, multilateral development organizations and leading private sector organizations. He is the Founder & Executive Director of Refugee Open Ware, a global consortium focused on technology-driven humanitarian innovation in MENA. Previously, he specialized in mobile banking and financial inclusion as a social enterpreneur in the Philippines with LeapFrog Investments and as a Fulbright Scholar in India. Dave was an Engagement Manager in the Financial Inclusion Practice of McKinsey, where he spent 4 years. He also served as strategist and speechwriter in the office of Secretary-General Kofi Annan on matters related to the intersection of business and human rights. Dave holds an MBA from the Wharton School, a Master’s in the philosophy of human rights and global justice from Cambridge University, and a BS/BA in Economics and International Studies (summa cum laude) from the Huntsman Program for International Studies & Business at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
