Frederick Marks, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Six Sigma Green Belt, began his career as a legislative assistant to the U.S. House of Representatives Environment Committee under Congressman Morris K. Udall. He then worked as an assistant director for Knowledge Communities at The American Institute of Architectsin Washington, DC. As a licensed architect in private practice, he has focused on planning, designing, and managing healthcare and science facilities. Mr. Marks is a former director of Science & Technology for AC Martin Partners Inc. in Los Angeles. He is a founding Board member and the current CFO of the Academy of Neuroscience for Architecture in San Diego. Mr. Marks holds degrees in architecture and business and was a scholarship student at the Wright-Ingraham Institute/Richard T. Parker Center for Advanced Study & Research in Colorado Springs, CO.
Mr. Marks currently runs a private firm, Frederick M. Marks Consultancy, and is a Visiting Scholar at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, CA.
