Graham Smith is an Architect, Educator and Artist with 25 years of design experience on a multitude of projects. This experience combined with Graham's strong graphic and conceptual skills allows him to explore and convey diverse, effective design solutions. An early adopter of sustainable design, he has contributed his drawing and facilitation talents to many Eco-Charrettes throughout Western Canada working through UBC's Design Centre for Sustainability. At UBC's School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture Graham has lectured as an adjunct professor and has served as a guest critic for their Design studios.
He currently teaches teens Architecture and Environment at Arts Umbrella, a multi-disciplinary arts center in Vancouver, British Columbia. “Our students exposure to the colocation of all the plastic arts with dance, music and theatre makes AU an ideal setting for teaching architecture because it interacts with all these influences in a rich cultural matrix. I’m grateful to be part of this learning environment.”
