Miriam Fassbender is camerawoman, director and author. For many years she worked as 1st and 2nd camera assistant for international movies, before graduating her Cinematoraphy studies at FAMU in 2005 - with exchange semesters in New York and Paris.
She is the director of “Fremd/ Foreign”, a documentary that gives face to migration from Subsahara Africa towards Europe- she remet her protagonists on their journey, searching for another life and difficulties to describe their temporary non- places /makeshift hideouts out of her eurozentric perspective.
