Neil Kendricks and Carlos Pelayo have developed an experimental film titled Wounded Sky, which features video vignettes of bird’s-eye landscapes shot by Kendricks from the window seat of a passenger plane. Combined with Pelayo’s addition of blended layers of additional clips such as birds flying through the air, or abstract images such as inside a car wash, Wounded Sky brings a powerful and surreal four-minute experience.

The entire piece is more than just a video to be watched from a seat.  Kendricks and Pelayo transformed their vision into an installment experience where the entirety would be projected onto the floor of the show space. This new perspective brings the illusion of looking down onto the world, as if from Kendrick’s original seat from the plane, where patrons can grasp the abstract vision of the world below.
