Peter von Stackelberg is a worldbuilder, transmedia storyteller, and professional futurist. He is currently researching the application of emerging techniques in transmedia narrative design to communicating about and managing change within organizations and society as a whole. Worldbuilding is a key element of transmedia narrative design that focuses on the creation of a "universe" –  fictional or non-fictional -- that participants can interact with.

Peter also teaches at Alfred State College of Technology (SUNY) in Alfred, New York. Classes he teaches include managing technology and innovation, systems thinking, strategic management,

He studied journalism at Ryerson University and spent a number of years as an investigative journalist and news photographer, winning awards for his investigative work into environmental issues. With the emergence of the web in the 1990s, Peter worked as a web designer, e-commerce developer, and IT project manager and transitioned in the early 2000s to consulting work a professional futurist doing technology forecasting and strategy.

Peter has a B.A. in Journalism from Ryerson University, an M.S. in Studies of the Future from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and an M.S. in Information Design & Technology from SUNY IT (State University of New York Institute of Technology).
