Rebecca Webb explores the future of film-going and film-making in her role as film curator for ArtPower at UC San Diego. In 2014, she inaugurated the ArtPower Filmatic Festival to present immersive new media experiences at the intersection of science, cinema, and technology, as well as “Expanded Cinema” events. Webb is also a fine art photographer who visually investigate the dynamics of human relationships and the connection between identity and the places people inhabit. She exhibits her photo work in galleries in Boston, New York City, San Diego and various museums nation-wide, and has worked on documentaries and feature films with directors William Klein, Darren Arronofsky and Hal Hartley, to name a few, and lectures every now and then on the topics of photography and film production at UC San Diego.
