Susan has worked at UN-NGLS since 2010. Her work at UN-NGLS has included designing and facilitating the nomination process for civil society speakers at the UN, which has been used in the Post-2015 development agenda negotiations, the President of the General Assembly’s high-level events and hearings, the Financing for Development hearings, the World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, as well as the Secretary-General’s Sustainable Energy for All Forum and 2014 Climate Summit. She coordinated and served as lead author for several civil society consultations for the post-2015 agenda, including the report Advancing Regional Recommendations for the Post-2015 Development Agenda; UN-NGLS’s policy briefs for the Open Working Group on Sustainable Development Goals; and the Secretary-General’s High-level Panel of Eminent Persons on the Post-2015 Development Agenda. She has also led consultations for the Interagency and Expert Group on Sustainable Development Goal indicators, and the Secretary-General’s High-level Panels and Groups on Sustainable Energy for All, Global Sustainability and Climate Finance. She co-authored the report of the Kingdom of Bhutan’s High-level Meeting on Well-Being and Happiness: Defining a New Economic Paradigm. Susan’s prior experience includes: coordinator for the Global Campaign for Climate Action (GCCA); Deputy Campaign Manager for Congressman Dennis Kucinich’s US Presidential Campaign; political project manager for musician and social activist Ani DiFranco; co-founder and director of the non-governmental organization Earth Challenge. Susan has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University.
