Doug Cooper serves as a Visual Effects Supervisor at DreamWorks Animation, where he is attracted to the projects with new and unsolved challenges to tackle. Some of his favorites include taking Shrek into an alternate universe in “Shrek Forever After”, exploring extreme scale by following Jerry Seinfeld as a bee flying through New York in “Bee Movie”, and building the first CG Feature pipeline in Los Angeles for “Shark Tale”.  He also fondly remembers his earlier projects seamless integrating Traditional 2D Animation with CG in “Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron”, and “Prince of Egypt”.

Doug Cooper has been an active member of the Academy's Short Films and Feature Animation Branch since 2008, and joined the Academy’s Science & Technology Council in 2012.  He is also a member of the Visual Effects Society (VES), ACM/SIGGRAPH and ASIFA Hollywood, and has spoken at many conferences and special events about his work.
