Dr. Trimble is Curator of Education at the University Art Museum. At the UAM, he designs and promotes outreach programs to engage students and community at large. His projects include Fast and Fantastic, a successful high school conference that brings together youths and professionals in the fields of film, animation, gaming, and digital media and PROject/ProJECT, an video based at risk youth outreach program offered in partnership with the YMCA's Change Agent Productions of Long Beach. He has served as regional Getty Multicultural Undergraduate Intern supervisor for many yeas and he oversees all program evaluation processes that include both qualitative and quantitative analysis for UAM programs.
Dr. Trimble has a MA in Art Education and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. At CSULB, he teaches classes in art education and liberal studies, including arts teaching methodology and cross-cultural perspectives in art education. His research focus is studentexperience and engagement in both international and community based arts service learning. He has collaborated extensively across the university campus and in the community. He served for many years on the committee for the CSULB Odyssey interdisciplinary program of courses, lectures, performances, and online discussions around current and relevant global topics.
