Three hundred students in film, animation and digital media programs at Southern California high schools attended the Fast & Fantastic Conference at California State University Long Beach on November 20th, 2009. The all day program featured directors John Stevenson and Catherine Hardwicke; animator and CSULB Professor Aubry Mintz and a panel of CSULB animation students; president and co-founder of thatgamecompany Kellee Santiago; and Filmmaker Joaquin Baldwin.
Teachers and students all felt Fast & Fantastic was an extraordinary event that gave students both an educational experience related to their field of interest, and an exciting day of entertainment.
