Eric Matthies is a producer/director working across a number of platforms, from major motion pictures to large scale installations, site-based VR, live events and traditional cinematic projects. His accolades include: a 2017 Saturn Award nomination, 2017 & 2016 Clio Key Art Awards, 2015 Edward R. Murrow Award, 2015 National Headliner Award, 2009 Saturn Award winner, PGA Award, Grammy nomination, NAACP Image Award nomination, LAFF Audience Choice Award and Social Justice Fund nomination. Work that Eric has produced or directed has appeared at The Venice Biennale, Sundance, SXSW, LAFF, The Whitney Museum, AFI & TriBeCa. Project clients include Boeing, Ford, Warner Bros., USC and Sony. Matthies has participated in formal discussions on censorship and press freedom at the Double Exposure Symposium, the International Journalism Festival, The National Press Club and through online and broadcast platforms. He is also on the advisory board for Literary Riot/Get Lit-Words Ignite, a youth-focused film collective.
