CEO at PlaySpace

Bruno Setola is CEO at PlaySpace, PlaySpace has been designing innovative co-creation games that are used to generate design principles for 21st Century learning and working environments. The forthcoming emerging spaces and principles are integrated into a special game framework to make them scalable and negotiable. This has resulted in their application in new learning spaces, ranging from a 600m2 'Living Lab' at PlaySpace Rotterdam to a new building for 10.000 business students at Rotterdam University. Games by PlaySpace are also used in the Port of Rotterdam to coax competing organisations into starting collaborative future port innovations.

Head of 'Way of Play' Curriculum at Rotterdam University

Fascinated by the tension between improvised play and rule-based games, Bruno has designed and leads a unique four-year curriculum at Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, called 'Way of Play'. A dream team of nine professionals teach students play-based approaches in art and design. Included are courses such as 'Rules of the Game', 'Play Objects', 'Pervasive Games', 'Serious Games', 'Gamification' and 'Story Games'.
